Description: Divalent cationic dye. Hoechst stains are part of a family of blue fluorescent dyes (bis-benzimide/ pibenzimol). The illumination of Hoechst stain coupled with Merocyanine 540 can be utilized as an effective method to eradicate bacterial infections. Hoechst dyes are selectively toxic to malaria parasites. It has anthelminth drug ring which intended to kill parasitic worms.
